The End of the World

At the End of the World

The Finisterre Burning Ceremony.

At Finisterre — historically considered the end of the known world — we offer an optional guided closing practice. Participants who choose to take part write down what they are ready to release and burn it in a small symbolic fire near the Atlantic. It is offered as a moment of reflection, release, and commitment — not as a promise of any specific spiritual or emotional outcome.

A quiet, intentional way to close a season and step into what comes next.

The Ritual

  • • An optional guided written reflection on what you are ready to release
  • • A small symbolic fire near the Atlantic coast
  • • A brief closing led by a Recovery Mode® facilitator or program leader (Brown participates in selected cohorts)
  • • A keepsake stone from Finisterre to carry home

Routes & Maps

Choose the road that meets you.

Healthy executive pace: 15–22 km per day maximum. Weekly cohorts in clean 7-day blocks. Small groups. Deep work.

The Classic

French Way

Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port → Santiago de Compostela

The classic, most walked route on the Camino de Santiago. Crosses the Pyrenees, the meseta, and the green hills of Galicia — the core route Brown walked during his 561-mile journey.

The Coastal Way

Portuguese Coastal Way

Porto → Santiago de Compostela

Gentler terrain, ocean air, and a slower, contemplative rhythm. Ideal for first-time pilgrims or executives who want depth without the alpine intensity.

Optional Extension

Finisterre Add-On

Santiago → Finisterre (end of the world)

A 3–4 day walking extension or 1-day bus/day-trip to the Atlantic coast — only available after reaching Santiago. The setting for the Burning Ceremony.

Who Walks With Us

You have built something extraordinary. And you know something in you needs space to recover.

Leaders who join the Executive Camino Reset are high-functioning and under real pressure — not broken. They are carrying decisions, teams, families, and expectations, while quietly aware of the gap between how they present in the room and what they are actually navigating in private. The Recovery Mode® system creates space for that leader, that team, and that couple to step out of performance and into recovery. Application is the way we make sure it is the right fit.

The CEO or C-Suite Executive

You lead at the highest altitude. The decisions are consequential, the isolation is real, and the space for your own recalibration is limited. The Executive Camino Reset offers 7, 14, or 21 days to step out of the role and reconnect with the leader beneath it — delivered through the Recovery Mode® system by trained facilitators and program staff, with Brown participating in selected cohorts and sessions.

The Executive Woman Who Leads Without Margin

You carry the room. You are the standard-setter, the culture-keeper, the one others look to when the pressure is highest. The Executive Camino Reset is designed to give you a space with no agenda and no deliverable — intended to support your own reflection, recovery, and clarity.

The Leadership Team

Some of the most meaningful work between long-tenured leaders can happen outside the boardroom, when the calendar, the terrain, and the pace allow for a different kind of conversation. Walking a Recovery Mode® experience together is intended to support honesty, alignment, and shared language your team can carry back into the work.

The Faith-Driven Leader at a Crossroads

You built your leadership on a foundation of faith. Somewhere between the growth and the grind, you may have drifted further from that foundation than you intended. The Camino is not religious tourism — it is an intentional return, designed to support clarity, alignment, and the purpose underneath the performance.

The Spouse Walking Alongside a High-Capacity Leader

You know what it costs to love and partner with someone who carries the weight of leadership. The Spouse Track is a substantive parallel experience — with its own discovery conversation, its own focus areas, and its own arc within the cohort. It is designed to support the spouse as a leader in their own right, not as support for someone else.

The High-Performer After a Hard Season

A transition. A loss. A season that left something unresolved. You are still functioning — impressively so — but you know the difference between functioning and free. The Executive Camino Reset is intended to support that kind of reflection: unhurried, structured, and guided by someone who has walked hard seasons himself.

This is not for everyone

This experience is curated by design. The right cohort is what makes the work possible for everyone in it. Every seat is filled by application, and every candidate is reviewed by Brown and the program team. If you are seriously considering this, the next step is to apply so we can explore whether it is the right fit for you and the season you are in.

For the leader ready to go beneath the surface.

Primary Framework: The Freedom Equation + The Leviathan Framework

Finisterre Add-Ons

+$2,900

Walking extension (3–4 days) to Finisterre

+$650

Day-trip / bus excursion to Finisterre

Available only after reaching Santiago de Compostela.

The Camino Continuation Path

Walk it in one season — or keep coming back until the route is complete.

The Camino is not a checkbox. Some leaders walk their full experience in one season. Others walk it in stages across multiple years — completing a portion at a time until the whole road is behind them. Both paths are supported inside the Recovery Mode® system.

Stage-by-Stage Return

If a full 21-day window is not realistic this year, you can begin with the 7- or 14-day tier and return in a future cohort to continue where you left off. Continuation is coordinated through the program team based on the program's operating calendar and available cohorts.

Post–21-Day Continuation for Full Camino Sabbatical Participants

Participants who complete the 21-Day Full Camino Sabbatical are eligible to continue walking toward full completion of the route — without additional program tuition, hotel charges, or included-meal charges. Continuation is subject to route conditions, the program's operating calendar, participant readiness, and program agreement.

What You Still Cover

Covered continuation for eligible participants includes program tuition, program-arranged hotels, and included meals within the active supported program window and participant agreement. Personal discretionary expenses, flights, travel insurance, medical expenses, gear replacement, and non-program purchases remain the participant's responsibility unless expressly included in writing.

The Camino Continuation Path

Enter. Recover. Integrate. Return. Continue. Complete.

The goal is not to rush the road. The goal is to walk it intentionally.

The commitment is to the recovery — not to a fixed calendar. The program is built to meet leaders where their season actually allows.

Why the Road Works Differently

Distance creates room for honesty.

Distance, movement, structure, and a small cohort create conditions that a conference room usually cannot. These are the principles the Executive Camino Reset is built on.

Interruption

Interruption of Normal Patterns

Recovery is difficult inside the environment that produced the pressure. Stepping fully out of routine — calendar, devices, roles — creates the interruption the work requires.

Movement

Embodied Movement

Walking for hours a day slows thinking down and creates space for what has been sitting beneath the surface to come forward. Movement contributes to the work in ways stillness alone often cannot.

Structure

Structured Reflection

Every day is anchored by a morning intention, a shared meal, and an evening integration session — so the miles produce insight, not just fatigue.

Cohort

Small Cohort Accountability

A small group of leaders in a similar season, walking the same road, creates a level of honesty and mutual support that most professional environments cannot.

Re-Entry

Re-Entry Planning

Insight on the road only matters if it lands at home. Structured re-entry planning turns what you learned into practical decisions for your leadership, family, and organization.

Before You Take a Single Step

Your experience begins before you board the plane.

Every leader who walks the Executive Camino Reset takes part in a Recovery Mode® Discovery Conversation before the cohort departs. A trained Recovery Mode® facilitator or program leader guides a one-on-one call with each participant — roughly 30 minutes to clarify your goals, the pressure points shaping this season, your readiness for the road, and the Recovery Mode® tools most relevant to your experience. Brown participates in selected discovery conversations. The system is the same for every cohort. Your intention, focus, and re-entry plan are shaped with you.

01

The Written Application

You name what you are walking toward and what you are walking away from — because the Camino works best when you arrive with intention, not just a plane ticket.

02

The Recovery Mode® Discovery Conversation

A structured 30-minute one-on-one with a trained Recovery Mode® facilitator or program leader — Brown participates in selected conversations — to clarify your goals, the pressure points shaping this season, your readiness for the road, and the Recovery Mode® tools most relevant to your experience.

03

The 30-Day Preparation Guide

Physical, mental, and reflective readiness. Four weeks before departure, you receive a 30-day preparation guide covering the physical demands of the road, the mental posture that supports the walk, and the reflective practices that help you arrive open and prepared.

For the Partner Who Carries It All

A parallel experience — designed for the spouse, not around the leader.

Spouses who walk the Camino are not here as companions. The Spouse Track is a substantive parallel experience with its own discovery conversation, its own focus areas, and its own arc within the cohort.

The work centers on individual identity, personal recovery, shared language with your partner, relational alignment, and what intentional partnership looks like in the next season of your lives together.

Every spouse goes through the same pre-Camino discovery conversation. Focus areas and Recovery Mode® tools are shaped for the spouse — not as a support role for the leader, but as a leader in their own right stepping into their own recovery and clarity.

Identity as a leader in their own right, distinct from the support role
Personal focus areas for this season
Shared language and reflection for a demanding leadership partnership
A supported entry point into the same framework the cohort is walking

The road is long enough for both of you. And the return home lands differently when both partners have done the work.

The Framework

Every mile is organized around five pillars.

The M.I.L.E.S. Framework was shaped and tested through Brown's 561-mile journey and refined inside the wider Recovery Mode® body of work. On the Camino, you do not just study it — you walk it.

M

Mindset

The internal posture that shapes how you meet difficulty. The Camino gives you daily practice in the difference between short bursts of motivation and a durable operating mindset.

I

Identity

Who you are underneath the title, the role, and the reputation. When identity is clear, decisions become clearer. When identity is unclear, everything tends to cost more than it should.

L

Legacy

What you are building — and whether it aligns with the cost you are paying to build it. The road creates space to ask that question honestly, one step at a time.

E

Endurance

Show up. Stay with the process. Keep going when it is inconvenient. The S.O.W. practice offers a simple operating rhythm for sustaining capacity — practiced on the trail and applied back at work.

S

Strategy

Alignment before acceleration. Some of the strongest leaders in the room are the ones who have practiced slowing down long enough to make the right decision — and built the discipline to follow through.

The Journey Structure

How the experience is structured.

The Executive Camino Reset is a multi-phase experience — from preparation through re-entry. Every phase is intentional and supports the next.

The Application

The First Step

You name what you are walking toward. The application is the first step of the experience. Brown and the program team review every application. Acceptance is not guaranteed — by design.

The Pre-Camino Discovery

Your Focus Is Clarified

A 30-minute Recovery Mode® Discovery Conversation with a trained facilitator or program leader (Brown participates in selected conversations) to clarify your goals, pressure points, readiness, and the tools most relevant to your experience — before you take a single step on the road.

30-Day Preparation

Body, Mind, and Reflection Prepared

Physical, mental, and reflective readiness. You receive your 30-day preparation guide and prepare for what the road will ask of you.

Arrival in Spain

Arrival, Orientation, and Shared Intention

You arrive. You meet your cohort. The first evening is an intentional opening — logistics, ground rules, and a shared conversation about what each participant is walking toward. Cohorts that choose it may include a brief faith-anchored blessing; it is offered, not required.

The Walk

The Road Is the Classroom

Each day opens with a morning intention anchored to your focus. Each evening closes with a facilitated integration session. The miles in between are yours — to walk, to process, and to reflect on the terrain and the day.

The Freedom Declaration

A Personal Statement, Not a Graduation

At the milestone checkpoint — or at Santiago de Compostela for Tier 3 — you write and speak your Freedom Declaration: a statement of who you are, what you are leaving behind, and what you are walking toward from this day forward.

The Return & Re-Entry Protocol

The Bridge Back

One of the most important phases of an immersive experience is going home. The return is built into the design. Every tier includes a post-walk integration call. Tiers 2 and 3 include structured 60- and 90-day re-entry plans intended to support responsible re-entry into your leadership and life.

A Day on the Road

The rhythm that supports the work.

Every day follows a consistent structure — because consistency and reflection are what carry the work forward. The terrain changes. The rhythm does not.

5:30 AM

Silent Rise

No phones. No screens. The day begins in stillness. Hydration, brief stretching, and the first quiet minutes that set the tone for the day.

6:30 AM

Morning Intention

A facilitated 30-minute session anchored to your focus for the experience. The Recovery Mode® facilitator opens. The cohort speaks. You name what today's miles are for — before you take a single step.

7:30 AM

The Walk Begins

Approximately 15–22 km (roughly 9–14 miles), depending on route, stage, and participant readiness. Walk in silence, walk with a peer, or walk with a facilitator or program leader when the moment calls for it. Every mile is intentional.

12:30 PM

Pilgrim Lunch

A long table, simple food, real conversation. No agenda, no performance — just the leaders the road is shaping, breaking bread together at the midpoint of the day.

4:00 PM

Arrival & Recovery

Check in to the day's accommodations. Time to wash, rest, journal, or sit in silence. The body recovers. The mind catches up to the day.

6:30 PM

Evening Integration

One of the most important hours of the day. A Recovery Mode® facilitator or program leader guides a structured cohort session — anchored to your focus, personal, and fully present. This is where the miles become reflection.

8:30 PM

Shared Meal

Dinner together. Slower. Quieter. The day's weight in the room — and the cohort that holds it. By week's end, this table feels like community.

10:00 PM

Lights Out

Early to bed because tomorrow asks the same of you. The rhythm is the reset.

Three Ways You Walk

Solitude, cohort, and one-on-one — all in the same day.

The road is designed to hold three different kinds of walking, each carrying a different kind of work. Most days include all three. The balance is curated to what you need.

01

Walk Alone

Protected time for silence, reflection, journaling, prayer if that is your practice, and processing what the miles bring to the surface. Solitude is not a gap in the program — it is a scheduled part of it.

02

Walk With the Cohort

Shared miles with a small group of leaders in a similar season. Peer conversation, facilitated discussion, and the kind of honest relational support that most professional environments do not create.

03

Walk With a Facilitator

Private trail conversations with a Recovery Mode® facilitator or program leader — shaped around your goals, pressure points, live leadership decisions, and recovery focus. A facilitator may intentionally create physical distance from the cohort so those conversations can happen in full confidentiality.

Executives who want more solitude receive more solitude. Executives who need a longer private conversation with a facilitator get one. The balance is shaped in your discovery conversation and adjusted on the road.

Before You Apply

Honest answers to the real questions.

Senior executives, founders, partners, pastors, and high-capacity leaders — and their spouses — who are carrying weight that is difficult to set down inside their normal environment. It is not a tour, not a retreat, and not a conference.

On the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain. Tier 1 walks a focused 7-day section. Tier 2 walks an extended 14-day stretch. Tier 3 walks an extended stage-based experience along the French Way. Specific stages for every tier are confirmed with accepted applicants based on cohort pace and conditions.

The 7-Day tier begins at $11,997 per leader. The 14-Day tier is $22,997. The 21-Day Full Camino Sabbatical is $44,997. Each tier includes the program elements listed on that tier — facilitation, accommodations during the walk, daily meals on the road, integration sessions, and Pilgrim Kit — delivered through the Recovery Mode® system by trained facilitators and program staff. Brown participates in selected cohorts and sessions as Founder, Program Architect, and Lead Voice. Flights and personal travel are not included. Payment plans are available upon acceptance. Some organizations sponsor this investment as an executive development engagement — note that in the application.

No. The Camino is a thousand-year-old pilgrimage road, and Brown leads from a clear faith foundation — but the experience is designed for any serious leader looking for meaningful reflection and recovery. The road does not discriminate.

Demanding, but achievable for any leader in reasonable health. You receive a 30-day preparation guide before departure. Average days are approximately 15–22 km (roughly 9–14 miles) on varied terrain, with flexibility by route and participant readiness.

Yes. The Spouse Track is not a companion pass. It is a substantive parallel experience with its own discovery conversation, its own focus areas, and its own arc within the cohort.

Yes. Some organizations sponsor this experience as an executive development engagement. Indicate this in the application and the program team will provide the materials your CFO or Chief People Officer typically needs.

Brown and the program team review every application. If a particular cohort is not the right fit, the team will follow up with next steps and, where appropriate, information about future cohorts or other Brown Charité offerings.

Submit the application form at the bottom of this page. The program team will follow up with the full application materials and the link to schedule your 30-minute discovery conversation.

The Executive Camino Reset is a Recovery Mode® system, not a Brown-only experience. Every cohort is led by trained Recovery Mode® facilitators and program staff who deliver the same tools, rhythm, and structure Brown created. Brown participates in selected cohorts and sessions as Founder, Program Architect, and Lead Voice — not as the sole point of delivery. This is what allows the experience to scale without diluting the work.

In some cases, yes. If capacity, route logistics, and readiness allow, additional days can be added on request as a separate arrangement. Any extension is priced separately from your original tier and is confirmed with the program team.

Yes. Some participants choose to walk their experience in stages across multiple years — completing a portion at a time until the full route is walked. Continuation is coordinated through the program team based on the program's operating calendar and available cohorts. This is a core piece of the Camino Continuation Path.

Yes. Participants who complete the 21-Day Full Camino Sabbatical may choose to continue walking with the program toward completion. Continued days — including facilitation, program-arranged accommodations, and included meals — are covered without additional program tuition or hotel and included-meal charges while participants remain within the active supported route and program window. Continued participation remains subject to route conditions, program scheduling, participant readiness, safety, and the participant agreement. Flights, personal travel, and any days outside the active supported program window remain the participant's responsibility. The program does not promise unlimited coverage beyond the supported route and program window.

Your discovery conversation, daily morning intention, evening integration, and post-walk integration are supported by trained Recovery Mode® facilitators and program staff. Private strategy sessions included in higher tiers are held with a Recovery Mode® facilitator, and Brown may participate in selected sessions. The system is designed so that the quality of support does not depend on Brown being in the room every day.

The Executive Camino Reset is designed to run as a system, not as a personality-dependent experience. If Brown is unavailable for a given cohort or session, the experience is led by trained Recovery Mode® facilitators, route support personnel, and program leaders using the same methodology, protocols, and rhythm. Brown remains Founder, Program Architect, and Lead Voice of the methodology, and participates in selected cohorts and sessions.

Brown Charité on stage with backpack and microphone

Brown Charité

Creator of Recovery Mode® · Author of 561 Miles

He didn't read about the road. He walked it.

Brown Charité is a recovery strategist, executive coach, keynote speaker, creator of Recovery Mode®, and author of 561 Miles. He is the leader who walked 561 miles from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port across Spain to Finisterre as a personal recalibration. That walk was not a vacation. It was intentional time away from performance to recover alignment and refine the work he had already been building — a journey that informed and sharpened the Recovery Mode® methodology, without being the sole source of it.

Before any of that, Brown and his team won two consecutive national Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization championship titles at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg — with the first title coming in only the second year of the entrepreneurship program. He went on to spend 17 years as a CEO, growing an operation from a 100-square-foot sunroom inside a mobile home into a three-building, 6,500-square-foot beauty estate on waterfront property with a 47-person team.

Brown began speech therapy at age seven and completed two years of it. His speech therapist later entered him into the 6th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. speaking competition, where he competed against 27 students and delivered "Because My Mama Told Me So" before an assembly of parents, faculty, and students. He won second place. The voice he once had to fight to find is now the voice that helps other leaders name what has been running beneath their own surface.

The frameworks he walks with you on the Camino were shaped through his own leadership and refined through his season of leading while bleeding. He guides from experience he has actually walked.

A System, Not a Solo Act

The road is walked with a team. The system is what makes it repeatable.

Every Executive Camino Reset is delivered through the Recovery Mode® system: the same tools, the same rhythm, the same structure Brown created and walked himself. What changes is the cohort. What stays the same is the work.

Brown Charité — Founder, Program Architect, Lead Voice & Author of 561 Miles

Brown created the Recovery Mode® system, walked the 561 miles, and shaped every framework, protocol, and phase of the experience. He participates in selected cohorts and sessions as the lead voice of the methodology — ensuring the work extends with continuity, scale, and consistency without dilution.

Recovery Mode® Facilitators

Trained facilitators lead morning intentions, evening integrations, and private strategy sessions using the same shared methodology, protocols, and cadence — so participants receive consistent depth, rhythm, and outcomes across every cohort and session.

Program Team & Coordination

Applications, discovery conversations, logistics, cohort placement, and re-entry planning are supported by the program team — so the experience is protected end to end, from application through 90-day integration.

This structure allows the Executive Camino Reset to scale with continuity — extending the same methodology, standard of delivery, and participant experience to more leaders and organizations without dilution.

After the Road

Post-Camino integration & community.

The work does not end when you fly home. Coming back into full leadership load after a season of recovery is often the hardest part — which is why integration is built into the program from the start.

Group Integration Calls

Structured cohort calls in the weeks following your return, included where applicable by tier — to translate the road into the rest of your life.

Private 1:1 Debrief Sessions

Personal sessions with a trained Recovery Mode® facilitator or program leader — with Brown participating where scheduled — included where applicable by tier, to land the Recovery Mode® tools inside your specific leadership, family, and business context.

Intentional Peer Community

Ongoing access to a small, intentional community of leaders who have walked the road — where the work continues in a healthier environment.

"It's not lonely at the top — it's just less crowded."

Senior leaders need intentional peer community with others carrying similar weight. On the trail, in the post-journey conversations, and in the ongoing community — that is where those relationships form.

Ready to Walk

The road is waiting. Walk with us.

The Executive Camino Reset is an intentional Recovery Mode® immersion for leaders who need space to confront hidden pressure, restore alignment, and plan a responsible return to leadership, relationships, and work.

This is not a retreat and not a luxury travel program. It is for executives, founders, leadership teams, and spouses who are ready to trade the room for the road long enough to do real recovery work — delivered through the Recovery Mode® system created by Brown Charité and led by trained facilitators and program staff.

We're too grown not to be intentional.

A short, deliberate path from interest to placement.

The process is designed to protect the cohort and to make sure the fit is right — for you, for your season, and for the participants walking beside you.

Step 01

Submit Initial Interest

Complete the short request form on this page. The program team will follow up with the confidential application materials and next steps.

Step 02

Complete the Confidential Application

You share the context of this season, what you are walking toward, and what you are walking away from. Applications are reviewed by Brown and the program team.

Step 03

Fit & Readiness Conversation

A 30-minute Recovery Mode® Discovery Conversation with a trained facilitator or program leader (Brown participates in selected conversations) to confirm fit, timing, and readiness.

Step 04

Recommended Tier, Route & Support Plan

You receive a recommended tier, route approach, cohort placement, and support plan tailored to your goals and pressure points.

Step 05

Participant Agreement & Payment Options

You review the participant agreement, coverage terms, and available payment plans. Organizations sponsoring the experience receive the materials their finance and people teams typically need.

Step 06

Your seat is confirmed. You receive your 30-day preparation guide, Pilgrim Kit sizing, and pre-Camino onboarding — and the road begins before the plane.
